Prohibited Items

Items that must not be enclosed in any courier package, per NIPOST regulatory requirements.

In compliance with the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) Courier & Logistics Regulatory Department (CLRD) requirements, DB Global Logistics is prohibited from accepting, transporting, or delivering certain categories of items. Every package submitted for pickup is subject to these restrictions.

Prohibited Categories
  • Currency and negotiable securities: currency notes, bank notes, coins, traveller's cheques, international passports, bonds, and stocks.
  • Precious items: gold, silver, precious stones, and jewellery.
  • Narcotics and psychotropic substances.
  • Live animals.
  • Explosives, flammable, or other dangerous substances.
  • Obscene and immoral articles.
  • Radioactive materials.
  • Hazardous items: anything that may expose officials to danger, or soil or damage other items in transit.
  • Weight restrictions: documents, merchandise, or parcels weighing below 0.5 kg or above 50 kg.
Consequences of Non-Compliance

Enclosing a prohibited item, or attempting to circumvent these restrictions through unethical practices, may result in package seizure, order cancellation without refund, and reporting to the relevant regulatory authorities. It may also constitute grounds for the revocation, rejection, or refusal to renew our operating licence.
